Our Story
Wild Rose Ranch started with a simple dream for our family: more time outside, more room to explore, and a place where our kids could grow up having the kind of adventures that become lifelong memories.
For me, that dream was rooted in my own childhood.
Growing up, some of my favorite memories were made on my uncle's land in Wild Rose, Wisconsin. Every summer, our extended family would come together for the annual corn roast. Aunts, uncles, cousins, everyone camping together. We spent our days exploring the woods, taking hayrides, playing in an old barn, and finding adventures wherever we could.
At the time, they were simply fun summer days. Looking back, I realize they were something much bigger.
They gave me a sense of family, belonging, freedom, and connection that stayed with me long after those summers ended.
When we found this property, we wanted to create that same kind of place for our own children.
We wanted land where they could run through the woods, get dirty, explore, learn, and grow up outside. A place where my husband could hunt, where our siblings could bring their families and everyone could stay together, and where holidays and ordinary weekends could turn into the memories our kids tell their own children about someday.
That dream became Wild Rose Ranch.
And somewhere along the way, we realized we didn't want to keep something this special only for ourselves.
We began imagining what could happen if we opened the gates and invited others in.
A couple could begin their marriage here. A family could celebrate a milestone. A team could step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect. Someone could come for a wellness retreat and leave stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually. Children could experience animals, trails, campfires, and wide-open spaces. Friends could gather around a table, stay long after dinner, and remember how good it feels to simply be together.
Our hope is that Wild Rose Ranch becomes a place where people slow down, get outside, reconnect with one another, and experience the beauty of God's creation.
We're building it with the long view in mind.
Twenty years from now, we hope to watch our grandchildren running across this same land alongside the children and grandchildren of the friends, family, and community we've built along the way.
We hope there will have been hundreds of marriages celebrated here, countless meals shared, trails explored, prayers prayed, bodies strengthened, friendships formed, and lives changed.
Wild Rose Ranch isn't something we're building just for today.
We're building it for generations.
